Want to bet on it? (John/Moriarty)

John's thoughts jumbled up when Jim stepped closer, it was just that he couldn't really stop himself from staring at his lips, and it just wasn't very nice to ogle him like that.

He took in a deep breath, gathering what was left of his courage. "It's just... I was wondering," he started, and looked away, trying to think. "I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime... maybe we could go to the cinema... together," he stammered, wondering if it actually sounded like he was asking him to a date, he had meant that, but now he felt like it sounded like he just wanted to hang out.

James was a bit surprise by the tone of john's voice. He was serious about it and james could tell he'd been dwelling on this.

For a moment the bet he and seb had shot through his mind. But he decided this with his heart, not his mind.

He smiled at john, the sort of smile that already gave john his answer. "I'd love to do on a /date/ with you sometime." He said, he felt his cheeks flushing red as he spoke.

John blushed furiously, but there were happy butterflies bursting in his stomach. Jim agreed! He hadn't blown the whole thing up then!
One could tell he was ecstatic just by looking at his smile.

"How about tomorrow night? We could go see The Pirates together?" He suggested, he knew it was a silly family film, but he couldn't think of anything else at the moment.



((we don't have to RP the date, we could skip to when they are blissfully happy and then John discovers about the bet from Sebastian? I don't remember if there was something else we wanted to play with them o.O But I was thinking that we can have them break up for the bet thingy, and then we can have time pass and have them meet again when they are older and John lives with Sherlock, and Jim is a criminal, or the chief manager of a big cruel company and that is going to be rather dramatic, don't you think? <<))

How could someone like john could be /so/ incredibly adorable? James felt the same butterflies starting to fly through his whole body.

"That sounds perfect." He said. James never went to the cinema, so he figured it would be nice to go. He was just about to walk inside but turned back around to face john. He walked close to him and smiled, pressing his lips softly against john's cheek. "Thanks for everything." He said polite.

(( Oh right. No i hadn't seen it. But so Jim won the bet or not? Because he was supposed to have John admit he's gay in front of the whole school. And things like that. And I like the idea of them meeting up later as well!))

((well, technically, he gets found out before he wins the bet... and even if he decided not to do the bet anymore, Sebastian still knows at the beginning it was a bet.... so I guess we could have Jim and John talk about going to the dance together, and maybe Sebastian gets drunk during the dance and jokes with John about the bet, thinking Jim had told him already, except he didn't, so John is like O.O and the drama))

((And for the future them meeting again, we can do it that Sherlock and John are actually together in it, even though Sherlock is rather cold with him, so it can be a bit different from the one we are already doing?))

John was nervous.
No, he wasn't just nervous. He was terrified.
Jim and he had been dating for a few months now, but they never really appeared together as a couple.
They kissed outside occasionally, but only when no one was around.

To actually go to the school dance together was more than a big deal. It was social suicide.
John didn't really have anything to lose, but he knew it wasn't like that for Jim.
Jim, his sweet Jim... he would have never wanted to go with any one else though.
He knew going together meant they would remember this night forever.
It was romantic, that was sure, he couldn't help the smile as he caught his image in a shop window, he was wearing a suit, a necktie, something he wished he was never going to wear again, but nonetheless he was sure Jim would appreciate.
He was not using his stick either, the pain in his leg had slowly disappeared since he started going out with Jim, today was the first day he could actually go without, he was back into walking for the big night. He felt proud of that.

This was their night, and he was determined to enjoy it.
Or at least have Jim enjoy it.
Jim was the most important thing for him.

He stopped in front of the hotel where they were hosting the party, waiting for Jim to arrive, restless.

Sebastian had warned jim about the consequences of dating john but he'd refused to listen. He really like him and this bet got be blown to hell, as well as his reputation. He really didn't care about all of it anymore. John and only john was all he loved, all he ever wanted.

Jim was wearing a westwood suit his dad had gotten him for his 18th birthday. He'd saved it for this day, he wanted to look perfect for john. He made his way over to the hotel, equally nervous as his date. From a distance he'd already recognised john and.. He had no stick?! Jim was /so/ happy for him!

He approached john with a huge smile on his face. "Ooohhh my god! You look amaazing!" He complimented john. This suit really fitted him!

John turned around, and his breath itched in his throat when he recognized Jim.
He was gorgeous to say the least, he couldn't help himself when he cupped his cheeks and leaned closer. "You are beautiful," he whispered, leaning in for a kiss. "The most beautiful person I have ever seen..."
It was always like that, he couldn't stop himself from touching, from kissing Jim.

He was a bit more serious when he pulled away. "You still sure about this?" he asked, he'd do whatever Jim wanted.


((Oh god, I had another evil idea... for their future selves... what if Moriarty starts messing with Sherlock because he hates him for taking John away from him? Maybe we don't get to the RBF, but he could be a bit evil if you wanted him to... first him and John meet again, fight but then hit it off, but then John tells him he is with Sherlock, and Jim doesn't take it well >> or something...or worse, Jim seduces Sherlock away from John! That'd be evil >> I dunno, just random ideas as usual XD I don't seem to be able to ever shut up >>))

James returned the kiss but there was a certain tension between both of them. Perhaps the nerves, or was it something else? James had been looking forward to this for quite a while now and finally the time was there. He wanted it to be perfect.

"Of course I'm sure." He smiled and he leaned forward to press his lips on John's cheek. Yes, he was sure about this, he didn't want anything else.

((OMG haha the idea of Jim stealing Sherlock is really mean. But.. I like it. Hahaha But i think it'd be hardly possible. So ehh yea I think i'd prefer the idea of John telling him he's with Sherlock and Jim not taking it well and than he decides from that point on he's out to kill Sherlock or something. ))

"I envy your confidence," he muttered, nuzzling his cheek before he offered his arm to Jim. "I will be strong though," he joked, and straightened up his spine.
He wanted this, he wanted this to be romantic and memorable.
They were a couple and he wanted people to know that, especially the girls who would always loom around Jim waiting for him to fuck them.

As they moved inside the venue, a lot of people would stop and stare, but eventually, the crowd was too thick for anyone to notice anything, John visibly relaxed.
He frowned when he saw Sebastian in the back of the room dancing on a table.
"I think your friend is already drunk," he commented, especially when he noticed he was starting to take off his clothes. "Should we save him?" he asked with a soft laugh.



((XD Okay, sounds like a plan~ We'll see how this scene go... even if we don't manage to make them break up in this scene, we can also have them patch things up and then skip ahead and imply in their posts that they broke up because Jim's father sent him abroad for college, and John was enrolled in the army by his mother or something like that >> so they had to part because they just grew up after school))

James smiled wide. John had no stick and look absolutely stunning, James had every reason to brag with this guy. He felt other people's gaze attack them, but honestly he could care less. Most of them were jealous. James had at least 5 other options to take to the ball, but he had chosen his one a long while ago.

His eyes traveled to Sebastian. That poor guy needed a grip on things soon before he ended up completely naked. James had to suck his lips inside to keep himself from laughing any more than he already had. His hands slipped into his pocket and he got out his phone.

"Yes, we should save him but let me film this first. He wouldn't believe me otherwise." He said with a devilish grin on his face. 20 seconds and another piece of clothing on the floor later James pocketed his phone again and approached Sebastian. "Hey Seb, if you come down from that table I'll get you another drink. 2 if you promise to keep the rest of your clothes on." He shouted towards Sebastian. There was no other way to keep this guy from humiliation.

John couldn't help himself from laughing when Jim started taking a video of his friend, "I want to see it on youtube," he commented, he had never seen Sebastian so wild and it was utterly hilarious.

He was ready to help him out of this, he didn't want Jim's best friend to get in troubles after all, so he walked towards the table as well.

Sebastian beamed when he saw Jim, almost throwing himself off the table: "Jiiiim! You know how to get my attention!" he said, and John was fast enough to grab him so he wouldn't fall face first.
"Oh, hi John! You are here too!" he said happily, hugging him before he turned to his best friend.

"That means you win, Jim! Good job!" he said, moving his hand up for a high five.

James was laughing out loud, this video /will/ be on youtube he thought. It was a good thing John was there to catch Sebastian, otherwise he'd have fallen flat on the floor.

"Of course I know how to get your attention Moran." He said, he wasn't even planning on getting him another drink. Sebastian was just too far gone he'd believe anything. James had started to pick up the boy's clothes as he heard Seb's word. Oh no...

Abruptly he swung his arm over Seb's shoulder, hoping John didn't hear seb or just assumed he was delirious. "Come on Sebbie, we're going to those chairs over there." He said, already starting to drag Seb away.

John had been frowning, wondering what Sebastian was talking about, but Jim was bringing him away, and he was about to drop the subject. Because it really didn't matter.
Except Sebastian spoke again.

"No, no, I have to admit, it is your win, I mean, look at him! Coming with you all dolled up and announcing to the school he's with a man! I have no idea how you did it!" he shouted, he was sincerely happy for his friend, except that he had no idea what he was saying.

"I don't even remember what it is that we bet on... was it money? I'll give you double, because this is a serious accomplishment!" he mumbled, but John was very close by then, his muscles tense, it took him a while to process the words, but then it all made sense.

"A bet?" he repeated and Sebastian beamed at him. "Yes, of course, why would you think he'd want to talk to you so badly and so suddenly? I have to admit man, kudos to you because at the end of line you caught Jim's attention for real-" John wasn't listening any more, he was stepping back.

James heart skipped a few beats when he heard Sebastian ramble on. His eyes looking for John who already seemed to get it. Fuck.

He pulled Seb closer by his collar. "You IDIOT!" He hissed before roughly pushing him back. The poor guy couldn't even hold his balance while walking, so he collapsed on the floor, taking a few chairs with him. The sound drew the attention of nearby people, now facing them with questionable looks.

James rushed over to John, he was panicking. He didn't want to lose John because of this. "John. It's not what you think." He started. "Please, just listen." His arms stretched out and covered up John's shoulders. He wanted to get out of this place, to go somewhere quiet, somewhere he could explain.

John wasn't really seeing the scene unfolding in front of him, his eyes were unfocused, he was just hearing his mind scream at him for being the biggest idiot one could be.

He snapped out of it only when Jim touched him, instinctively he slapped his hands away, and he stepped back.
"It's not what I think?" he snarled, his body shaking in rage.

"Did you or did you not have a bet concerning me?" he asked, it all made sense now, it all made perfect sense.

"John..." But his hands were already slapped aside. With panic clearly readable on his face he tried to get a grip on things. John face, the sadness, the confusion, the anger, it hurt him. This wasn't suppose to happen, he'd cancel that bet mentally months ago!

When the question came shooting through he knew John would only care for either a "Yes" or a "no". Nothing else, no other further explanation.

"Yes in the beginning and before you turn away please. Listen!"

The answer was like a punch in John's face, he stepped back, hurt, his heart was clenched tight in his chest and he felt like he could not breathe.

"You had to seduce me into a relationship? So I would come to this dance with you? So that everyone would know I was gay?" he asked, ignoring the rest of Jim's words. "For money?"

"You had sex with me because of a bet?" he seethed, the memories, Jim's smiles, it had all been a fake?
