Laughing Yikes, 21st C or mad gothic Victorian I can cope with but not steampunk as I have no idea about writing that properly. You'd both best get coffins ready for dying laughing if I tried steampunk.

Good point about god-modding it's often considered a heinous sin in an RP.

Honestly, I'm the same with steampunk. I don't get how everyone else does it so well.

Have we covered everything? Like, are we all set for the roleplay?

Yes. What about Moriarty? Do we have anyone willing to play him?

If not, whoever can closely match his personality may drive him until a player found.

Considering that it involves an OC, Alternate Universe seems more suitable

I am curious about why Katrina thinks that Mycroft intimidates her. Do they ever meet before? Guess it would be revealed later.

Interesting conclusion from a bunch of roleplayers: Mycroft-players, those who can play him as more than just a superficial character, tends to be able to play Moriarty too but not vice-versa.

I haven't looked at how well they all play, and they can be played differently and well, but maybe they've just spent more time studying the character which offers them the most fun, most scope or a challenge. I've got an OC villain account, but there's not much call for him in RP's.

If they are ready and willing to take the challenge, let them jump in. I have to admit that I also is looking forward for some battle of wits with someone who can fill the void left by Andrew Scott's many-layered Moriarty.

Yeah, if we can find a Moriarty all well and good.

Magnussen didn't fill that spot left by the series Moriarty, he wasn't meant to be that sort of villain, just a bloke who was used to operating in a way that worked for him full of expectations that it'd work anywhere with anyone - except the last thing he expected was that he could be stopped and someone would do the 'unthinkable' and just blow his head off.

Heard a theory for explaining why Sherlock would just shoot Magnussen that it's all, HLV onwards a hallucination after Sherlock turned his morphine drip up after hallucination!Janine had turned it down. Possibly WILDER, it's all a hallucination from the point that Sherlock went to the drug den where MindPalace-hallucination!John found him. Billy Wiggins the doorkeeper just happens to have a skill of deduction, really?

A Moriarty who is not only mentally questionable but also actually have brain to pull it of. A Moriarty who, despite having a way too clever advisor, is also capable to add his own brand of mischief against the best minds in the empire.
