On that note about writing death, destruction and disasters, I'm pretty sure we're all on the same lines here. I think Moriarty is undeniably the nicest, friendliest guy in Sherlock; c'mon, who doesn't believe that? He wouldn't harm a fly. Sherlock is the real villain here.
