Hmmm Harry... Hamish could be a bit mucked up if he has addicts on both sides haha.

Hmm, if Harry was the donor wouldn't that be like John having sex with his sister??

Aww OK, but then wouldn't John feel like he hadn't contributed?

Re: Parentlock?
Hmm I guess, but surely one person in every gay couple must feel like that. Plus John brought him up, so he'd still have taken a lot of his personality from John, if not his looks.

Re: Parentlock?
The nature / nurture debate.
If Harry wasn't a suitably stable egg donor my guess is John would feel that his best, being logical about it, contribution was to raise Hamish. Q is who most wanted a child and why.

Ergggh bad news guys i'm off on holiday for a week with NO INTERNET ahhhh! I'm not sure if I'm going to survive the family and rain to be honest. But yeah, continue without me if you want, Hamish can be on a school trip or just out with his friends and stuff. Or Sherlock and John could go off somewhere, whatever you think

Re: Parentlock?
Yeah I guess we'll just wait because we haven't really written it in for Hamish to be away - him and Sherlock are gonna do an experiment together next.
On a totally different note though, we should totally have some old Johnlock at some point lol (although obviously not when Hamish is around, that would just be wrong!)
I've got tons of ideas for this RP though, quite excited by it.

Re: Parentlock?
Have you guys got anything else planned for this rp? I was thinking doing something about Hamish trying to find out who his genetic mum is, or does that seem too far fetched? Also would you like Hamish go away for a bit so that you guys can Johnlock-it-up? He could get a call from his friend and go out for the evening...

Re: Parentlock?
Oh right...yeah I thought it would be cool if Hamish got kidnapped at some point lol.
I've kind of slipped in about Moriarty being in a mental place for the criminally insane and all that but there's these murders happening which are in his style, so basically he's still active. So yeah, Moriarty kidnaps (or arranges the kidnap) of Hamish. John and Sherlock have to get him back. That's one storyline.
Y'know how I mentioned earlier that Sherlock was waiting for a package. Well it's basically a package of bees, because he's been reading up about it and has decided he wants bees. Then there'll be a conversation discussing moving somewhere better to keep them.
And yep, if Hamish could go out for a while and we'll throw in a quick Johnlock scene. Actually, maybe that's when Hamish gets kidnapped - when he goes out to his friends. Then Sherlock and John notice he hasn't come home etc..

Re: Parentlock?
Sneaky about the bee's there Sherlock. Hamish can go out with some friends in a bit and get kidnapped on the way back home. Perhaps maybe Hamish can also have a hostage call to his Dad's (cos Moriarty likes to wind them up) and they can freak and come looking for him. And who should kidnap him? Moran, Moriarty himself or just a random murder guy...? And should we call in some else to play this or just write it in (i'd be happy with either )? And then between Hamish going out and hostage call, you guys can have the bees (if needed), John's announcement and your Johnlock

Re: Parentlock?
Okay, um, I was going for something a little like the Great Game where Sherlock has to solve a puzzle in order to save Hamish. Hamish can ring them up and give them the puzzle/riddle and then you guys can solve it. So yeah, does this sound good to you guys? And if so, riddle/puzzle- any ideas? He could just send a picture and then Sherlock can take it from there?

Re: Parentlock?
Yeah that kind of thing sounds awesome...maybe a picture to start off with and they have to work out where the location is...but then they go there and nobody's there, just another clue sending them somewhere else etc.
We could get really dark if we wanted to and say that Sherlock has to commit a crime for Moriarty before he'll give the order for Hamish to be released...ie. he has to kill someone or something...
I had this idea that at some point Sherlock and John would go to the mental institution to visit Moriarty and try and get information from him (kind of Hannibal Lecter style).

Re: Parentlock?
Really dark as in Sherlock has to kill someone? Oh no you going to fake John's death next but not tell him first!!
Very dark Hamish has to watch it on a video?
Round the houses puzzle a dark game of ringing phone boxes, getting warmer.

Re: Parentlock?
Hamish has to watch it on video, yes! That gives Hamish plenty to do whilst we're trying to rescue him...he could get tortured a bit as well, and they could periodically send photos to Sherlock and John of him all bloodied up etc.

Re: Parentlock?
There's an icon for pictures 'host an image' does that take up a great deal of board usage allowance or server or anything contraindicating it. was thinking of where to use it for extra 'oomph'. I can make some time time to do screencaps and resize pics?
