I've always had this idea that Sherlock and Greg used to shag. Before John and all of that I think they had a 'relationship' in which they shagged after cases, or whenever Sherlock choose. I think Greg only agreed to it at first because he saw it as an opportunity to perhaps make his unfaithful wife jealous and or interested in him again. I think their relationship would have gone on for a few years, but they would have argued a lot because eventually Greg would want more and Sherlock would want to keep things seperate.
Basically a lot of smutty, angsty, and possibly fluffy goodness all leading up to a huge fight when Greg finds Sherlock doing drugs again. He walks out and doesn't contact Sherlock again until "a study in pink" at which point he assumed Sherlock has replaced him with John. So more angst there.
This is my main headcanon for sherstrade and it sort of appears is most of my sherstrade rps anyway, but I've not done much to rp it in the past.
