It all starts one day, a few pints (John Watson/James Moriarty)

James gasped at the touch, it felt so good having John's hands on him. His own still gently stroking up and down John's erection.

Those words were everything he wanted to hear and the way John spoke them even aroused him more. He needed to feel the same, he wanted John as close as possible.

"Then what are you waiting for?" He asked provokingly, his eyes sparkling with lust.

Sherlock didn't like to be ignored, especially by John. It had been three minutes and 27 seconds since Sherlock sent the text and the fact that he hasn't replied yet, made Sherlock annoyingly nervous, so he decided to send another text:

John? John are you alright? Beware Moriarty at all times. How sweet he may seem, heep his actual nature in mind. - SH

John smiled down at Jim, the intimacy of the moment was perfect, just a few minutes and he would bury himself deep inside his lover, he could feel his senses tingle in anticipation.

It was in that moment that his phone beeped again.
Sherlock again.

"Fuck," he whimpered, feeling anger pool in his belly.

He pulled away slightly. "Just give me a second, I'll tell him to stop... he's just doing this to interfere," he protested, and grabbed his trousers, not moving from his position on Jim while he gathered his phone and saw the two messages.

He paled considerably at the words he read.

He knew Sherlock cared for him, he was trying to help him, and for a moment he felt that maybe this was all wrong.

He wrote and sent the message, his fingers shaking, God, why did things have to be so bloody complicated?

James sighed and groaned as John did not push himself in but removed himself further to reach his phone. "Oh for God's sake." He whimpered annoyed. He could imagine just fine what those texts were saying.

"Turn your phone off." He suggested, or more demanded John. He really didn't need this at the moment.

He saw John's face though, it worried him. He was believing Sherlock's words which wasn't good at all. "Please." He added to his command, making it sound at least a little polite.

John's thumb rested on the power button for a long moment, one part of him wanted to follow Jim's advice and turn it off, the other wanted to leave it like that because after all, if anything serious happened, John needed to be ready.
"I'll put it on silent," he finally said, changing options and pushing the mobile on the bedside table.

He rubbed his frown. "Sherlock really doesn't like you..." he whispered, and he sounded miserable for a moment, it was slowly breaking him apart.

Stupid Sherlock ruining everything. Why didn't he just let Sebastian put a bullet into his brilliant mind.

James was clearly annoyed by everything, but john didn't look like an happy man either.

"I noticed." James replied. Sherlock had made that pretty obvious by now. "But that doesn't mean you have to stop liking me as well, does it?" Clearly jealous he tried to look on to John's eyes. Why was he so strongly attached to Sherlock's opinion?

John turned towards him: "I haven't stopped liking you!" he protested, and maybe that was the main problem. He didn't want to part from Jim, he didn't want to believe Sherlock. "But it's complicated..."

"Sherlock is not just my best friend... he is my only friend..." he sighed again, torn. "I owe him a lot, and I trust him... it... hurts to go against his advice..."

"And his advice of course is to leave me? Well, there's the door." James's hands pointed to the door and he lifted his body away from John's.

He was both jealous and angry. Jealous because sherlock seemed far more important than he was and john did not consider him, his own boyfriend, as a friend. And angry at himself, because for some reason his mind games were not working as long as John had Sherlock to protect him from it.

"More like... not to trust you," he muttered, and frowned when James pointed him to the door, was it that easy for him?

"You came to my house just to explain about Molly and now you just send me away?" he asked, surprised, his heart beating faster in his chest, and this time it wasn't just lust. It hurt.

"Jim... I don't want to leave... I love you... I said it, didn't I? It means a lot for me... I don't want you to pull away from me," he whispered, his hand reaching out for him.

"I'm not sending you away, I'm only saying you're free to leave." He said while looking down at the sheets next to him. He inhaled deep and looked up again, eyes locking with John's.

"I know you love me and I love you just as well. But do you really need a babysit all of the time? Someone to tell you what to think or do? Because seriously John, that's what he's doing." Restless Jim's eyes scanned over John's face, how did they end up here? Why weren't they just making love? Everything always had to be /so/ complicated whenever they involve Sherlock.

"I know I am free to leave, this is not a prison, but that doesn't mean it's what I want to do," he protested and sighed, God, Sherlock had really messed things up for him this time. It was true, Sherlock always got in between his relationships, but John had always let him... this time it was different.

"Sherlock is not telling me what to think or do, I do that myself," he snapped, and then groaned at his own temper. "Sherlock always told me the truth though, and... you aren't exactly what you seem," he muttered, looking at him sheepishly.

He reached out for Jim's hand, squeezing it. "He hasn't told me to leave you nor anything of the sort, and I am not doing that either way..."

James huffed. "I am not what I seem?" He abruptly pulled his hand away from John's. "Then what am I in /your/ eyes? Some stranger named James Moriarty who seems to be after your precious little treasure?" He once more shook his head in disbelieve. God, acting was such an huge effort.

"Moriarty?" his head snapped to the side, Jim had just said the name that had been the main problem of it all. "How do you know about Moriarty?" he hissed, his eyes turning suspicious. Jim had said his last name was Brooke. What the hell was going on?

"Until a few days ago you were just my boyfriend, now it seems you have a few different alter ego, you must admit it is quite confusing," he protested, his heart beating faster in his chest. So Sherlock was right? The person in front of him, the person he had slept with for the last six months was the consulting criminal Moriarty?

James laughed out loud. "How do I know about him?" He said sharp. "Perhaps because Sherlock accused me for being him, Re-mem-ber?" He rolled his eyes, thinking back about the conversation he heard John and Sherlock having when he sneaked back up the stairs.

"I told you, it's my job as an secret agent. But that suddenly doesn't make me a complete different person, does it?" He huffed and looked John straight in the eyes. "You're paranoid. Both you and Sherlock are. Obsessed."

John groaned, of course, how quick he was at jumping to conclusions! James wasn't completely out of line accusing him of being obsessed. He was. They were. "Well I am sorry if I worry about being the possible target of a murderer! Moriarty has killed many innocent people already!" he snapped, and finally jumped off the bed, anger bursting in his chest.

"That is the problem maybe, I guess that might be it, I do not have a treasure one can steal, all I can account for is being the flatmate of a famous detective, and people do try to get from me to him... what makes you different?" he rambled on as he looked for his pants and shirt. "Whether it's to sleep with Sherlock or to kill him, it makes much more sense than you... bloody smart, handsome and rich James Brook falling in love with a useless person like John Watson!" he concluded, grabbing his trousers and pulling them up his legs.

"What makes me different? John, I didn't even knew Sherlock I thought he was your wife!" He snapped back. "I was drunk when I met you. We started out as sex buddies. Doesn't that count as different enough? I asked this before, HOW can I prove that I've got nothing to do with this?" He was now begging John, acting of course, but he sounded pretty convincing there.

James had stood up and was now standing in front on John. His heart was beating in his chest and he'd managed to make himself shake. His real feelings were sincere though, he did not want to lose John, he'd go insane. He wanted to love this person as good as he possible could.

The truth was, James couldn't prove that. Moriarty was a secret identity, a vague idea, they had never seen him nor heard him, even though he apparently had a network of criminality.

An idea hit him suddenly, it was insane, but he blurted it out before he could think properly about the consequences.
"Move in with me," he said, swallowing hard when Jim stood in front of him, God, he still wanted him so much. "Move into Baker street for a few days..." That way Sherlock would be able to investigate and Jim wouldn't be able to do much without either of them knowing.

And well... it could also be a step forward in their relationship if things actually went well.

James was completely taken by surprise by John's offer. His eyes widened but oh this man was smart. But not smart enough, what a shame. James smiled. "I would love to! But eh.. What about Sherlock?" He said a bit hesitating.

Oh he could feel the plans coming to his minds. Of course Sherlock would expect "Moriarty" to continue his game and that was /JUST/ what he was going to do. All that needed to be done was sending one text to let people know things were on again. James didn't really need to do anything. Sebastian could tell people what to say to Sherlock. Plus it would mean Sherlock would not be around that often. Hmmm, so moving into baker St. it is!

John couldn't help his heart skipping a beat when Jim agreed, whether he turned out to be Moriarty or not, living with one's lover was a step he had never reached with anyone else. It was important, and he couldn't help but feel James was taking it a bit too lightly.
Of course it was just for a few days...

"I will speak with Sherlock," he said, nodding, hoping the man would turn out to agree. "But considering he's set out to interfere, he should only be happy he can have you close enough to check on..."

"I know you just want him to monitor me, John." James confessed. "But it's alright. I'll be close enough to you. If this is what it takes for you to believe me." he smiled polite.

Now he was done fighting, he didn't felt the need to push his boyfriend any further. He couldn't wait for the moment Sherlock would walk in to them half naked on the sofa. Or them making out against the kitchen counter. Oh oh poor Sherlock.

"Regardless of my motives, it is still a big step..." he muttered, aware that a lot of couples break up for much less than that. Was James really so sure of him? Sometimes John felt so bloody inadequate.

"I believe you, Jim... I will believe you until I am proven wrong," he whispered, his hand reaching out to caress the other's cheek, sometimes he felt him so distant, as if Jim was really acting, but then he was close again, warm and real, and there was love in his eyes. God. He just wished he knew the answer.

"You're right." James said softly. He knew he now had to be alert all of the time once he would go and live there, but he'd done worse. Far worse.

James leaned into the touch and sighed. "I'd still feel like I'll have something to proof all of the time. But it's fine, because I'll do anything to remove the doubt from your mind." He now smiled.

"You're not leaving, are you?" He asked with a shaking voice. John was nearly dressed again and could walk out of the door anytime now, something he didn't wish to happen.

"Something tells me that you actually like the challenge," he muttered, he was not so stupid as they thought he was, he knew the man in front of him now was very similar to his flatmate, regardless of whether he was Moriarty or not.

He let his hand move down the other's shoulder, then arm, and then it slid around Jim's waist. "No, I still owe you... a good shag... don't I?" he said with a grin, feeling a bit stupid about being dressed again. "I still want to be inside you..." he breathed against his lips.

"I indeed like challenges, yes. I'm competitive." He said smiling a bit while be wrapped both his hands around his boyfriend and pulled him close.

James eagerly licked his lips to moist them and then bit down on his lower one sightly. "Hmmm." He groaned, brushing his lips teasingly over John's. "A damn good shag, yes."

His eyes flickered with lust and he started pulling John back towards the bed, letting himself fall on it and taking John down with him.

"You don't say," he commented, the sarcasm slipping from his tone as he was pulled closer though. He needed this now, he had waited way too long and he felt he could burst if he waited any more.

"Do you mind if we speed it up a bit?" he asked, his fingers moving down to brush along Jim's crotch, while his other hand was seizing the bottle of lube.
