Sherlock was just about to point out the fact this case won't be closed for a very long time, but was pleased to hear John had already figured that out himself. He was picking up quickly, something Sherlock could only be pleased about. "Yes. For now it's closed. It's only a matter of time for Moriarty to get bored again.."

The taxi slowed down and Sherlock was already hopping out before he noticed John's hesitation. He cleared his voice. "Tea?" He frowned in a friendly kind of way. What else was he supposed to say? He didn't really had a reason to invite John into his flat, so some good old tea might as well help him out this time.

John noticed Sherlock was already leaping out without paying, something he seemed to be keen on doing. But John didn't mind so much. He leant forward and gave the driver a tenner, hovering in the open doorway.

"Tea?" He repeated. "Well, I don't think I can refuse an offer like that." He grinned and climbed out of the cab, closing the door behind him. "Especially not after the day we've had," he added.

He was quite interested to see the inside of Sherlock's place anyway, it might give him some insight into this rather intriguing man.

When Sherlock turned around again, he smile curled up one side of his lips. He did make sure John didn't saw that one though, he would probably assume Sherlock was up to much different things then just a simple cup of tea.

"I have just moved in." He pointed out, sort of warning John for the opened boxes next to the endless box parade that littered the whole floor. Once inside he quickly kicked some of them aside, picked up some files and put them together on the small table in the living room. "Don't mind the mess, I hope."

Sherlock disappeared into the kitchen. Well.. He couldn't remember when he ever used it as a kitchen anyway. It looked more like an organized mess of scientific stuff. He opened a few of the cupboards, not sure where he had stored his kettle and then remember. "Oh." He just said to himself, walking back into the living room and opening one the boxes to get the kettle out. "How would you like your tea? And please.. Make yourself at home." Sherlock smiled.

John followed Sherlock up to the flat, still not entirely sure of his intentions. He was probably just being friendly, he told himself, no big deal.

He was quite shocked by the mess and wondered how anyone could ever live like that, until Sherlock explained that he'd only just moved in. Well, that explained some of it, but he did have a hell of a lot of stuff for such a small flat.

"Nice place you got here," he commented honestly, because it was nice, despite the mess, really nice. "Very handy for central London."

John spotted a comfy looking armchair with a union jack pillow and sat down with a sigh. "Milk and no sugar thanks," he responded to the tea question, then picked up a newspaper that was lying around and began to glance through.

"So you live on your own then?" He called through to the kitchen. "No wife or girlfriend?"
