No one liked the new kid, especially when he was small and was easily pushed around. It was his first day and he’d already been tripped, called a number of homophobic slurs after staring at a boy in his chemistry and was now pinned up against a locker, being teased about ripped hoodie and scuffed shoes. Richard had given up fighting back, realizing they had less fun and walked away if he gave up, so he closed his eyes and braced himself for the impending punch.
