I don't mind being either Sherlock or John (I have a Sherlock profile as well).

The Walking Dead/Sherlock AU
Does anybody watch The Walking Dead? I'm really keen to do a Walking Dead AU with Sherlock and John fighting walkers and surviving. Zombielock! We can maybe include some other characters too later on, if they need a 'group', but just start with the two of them initially.

Awesome! You do a pretty good Sherlock from what I've seen so...I'll be John. BAMF John shooting zombies through the head etc, sounds excellent.
How should it begin, do you think? The zombie apocolaypse I mean....
And what should be our ultimate aim of the story? I mean, we need a vague storyline other than "killing zombies"...

Re: The Walking Dead/Sherlock AU
I think that it would be interesting if the story started a week or more after the apocalypse and we revived previous events through flash backs.
Surviving a zombie apocalypse is a mental challenge in itself, but Sherlock could still be trying to solve a case on which he investigated before the deads started to come back to life. He may still be trying find a murderer (why not even finding Moriarty?).

Or trying to find out what or who it was that caused the zombie apocalypse in the first place, and possibly put a stop to it altogether.

Re: The Walking Dead/Sherlock AU
Like, imagine if it had been caused by some kind of master criminal genius scientist type for nefarious purposes but it had just gone wrong somehow and gotten all out of hand. So that way, there's still a crime involved, but the crime is related to the zombie apocalypse itself.

Re: The Walking Dead/Sherlock AU
That's what I understood when I read your idea.
I think that this could even lead Sherlock to Baskerville to gather information, clues, or something. Such a big "accident" suits the place, I think.

Re: The Walking Dead/Sherlock AU
It does indeed yeah. Maybe they can find out that that's where the first outbreak came from...and when they get there, they discover it wasn't actually an accident after all, but a lot more sinister than that.
Of course, they will have to fight and defeat plenty of zombies along the way in the Road to Baskerville...but eventually they'll get there and then have to fight to discover the truth!

Re: The Walking Dead/Sherlock AU
Obviously we will need to work out some finer details about a) who the criminal is, b) how and why they ended up creating this zombie apocalypse scenario and c) how John and Sherlock stop it and save the world.
I'm thinking that maybe they were trying to come up with a type of chemical warfare weapon to use in combat and maybe the scientist behind it was illegally testing it out on humans and it went wrong. They died and then came back as flesh eating zombies infected with a virus, who then spread the virus onto others when they bite them etc.
But yeah, we can work more details out as we go along, but I reckon we're good to start.
A couple of weeks into the outbreak already, right?

We will indeed have time to build the plot as we write.

I don't care. You can start or I could. Do as you wish.
Same for the title. If you want me to start, I will find one. Otherwise, you can choose whatever name seems suitable to you.

I quite like "A Case of Many Corpses". It's got a certain ring to it.
